Design Crush Of The Week: Suzanne Kasler

Award winning interior designer Suzanne Kasler creates spaces that feel glamorous yet lived in, polished yet charming. She takes inspiration and references from all over the world when developing her designs: "Her speciality is rooms that broadcast Euro chic crossed with Southern charm and ease, where gilt-wood antiques are energized by contemporary art and concentrated bursts of sharp colors" (Elle Decor). Kasler's interior design empire has extended to books, lines for Circa Lighting and Hickory Chair Furniture Co, a collaboration with Ballard Designs and more. Here are some of our favorite Suzanne Kasler creations. Which room is your favorite?

Design Crush of the Week: Katie Ridder

If My Chic Nest's signature aesthetic were to be compared to an interior designer's, we think our style would gel seamlessly with New York based interior designer, Katie Ridder. Katie is known for her brilliant ability to mix colorful textiles and materials to create inviting and balanced retreats. Her style is undeniably feminine, which is perhaps why we are so drawn to her work. She often designs a room around one statement fabric, which she will boldly apply to the upholstery, walls and window treatments. Considered by Elle Decor to be one of the top interior designers in the business: "she combines comfort, practicality, and sophisticated color while mindful of architectural surroundings" (Elle Decor). Here are some of our favorite Ridder interiors. Let us know which room of hers is most inspiring to you.

Introducing Kelly Wearstler's New Line of Rugs

Interior Designer and tastemaker Kelly Wearstler is at it again. She recently lauched a line of new rug designs with The Rug Company. Her designs feel new and fresh, while still remaining true to the "Kelly" aesthetic we have come to recognize. When it came to her inspiration, Kelly says: "I gathered inspiration from a range of different sources; from my collection of vintage trims and wallcoverings, the tiny details of a button that I found at an old haberdashery in Paris, to the natural textures and contours of a beautiful seashell. My goal was to create designs that are unique". We think Kelly achieved this goal in spades. Tell us what you think, and which rug is your favorite in her line.
